Reporting directly to the District Manager, the Service Technician III is responsible for installing and servicing complex residential and commercial propane related equipment and systems. The Service Technician III will also be accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety and workmanship. What you''ll do: To apply advanced technical knowledge in the installation and service of a wide range of liquid and vapor fueled propane related equipment including residential, commercial, and industrial applications. This will include but is not limited to repairs and inspections of LPG dispensers, vaporizers, and propane storage systems. Safe operation of the crane truck, tank movers, trailers, and other service vehicles required to perform tank installations, relocations and pickups. Maintain service truck inventory and order as required. Ensure that all necessary parts, materials, supplies, and equipment is available to perform daily work orders and meet customer requests. Collect customer signature/stamps if necessary. Apply lock out procedures in unsafe customer installations. Accurately prepare and submit daily service work orders. Conduct and maintain the highest standard of safety in all activities and operations. Ensure compliance with the regulatory bodies and relevant industry standards. This includes conducting and, if applicable documenting, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections. Collaborate with local and remote team members to assure open lines of communication. Collaborate with the District Manager, and inform them of any successes, issues or challenges encountered. Obtain their approval for overtime and submit hours worked daily. Provide exceptional customer service by promoting the company, its products and services positively and maintaining good customer relations. Seek, identify and capitalize on sales opportunities by providing product information, and liaison with customers and the greater team members to find technical solutions. Other duties as assigned. What you Bring: A minimum of 1- 3 years'' industry experience as a licensed technician Class B Gas fitter. Excellent knowledge of B149 code(s). Valid driver''s license with a clean driver abstract. Class 3 classification an asset but not required (Or willing to obtain) Provincial certificates and record of training are required. Thorough knowledge of the properties of Propane Good working knowledge of the tools of the trade such as pipe threaders, gas analyzers, tank movers, hand tools, electrical testers, and related systems. Elevated lift training or certification and experience with scissor or zoom boom units an asset. Fall arrest/working at heights training and or certification and asset. Experience working on liquid propane systems an asset. Advanced technical knowledge of propane appliances, equipment and propane plant operations. Possess WHMIS and TDG training certification experience. Company specific to be supplied. Additional PTI, PGAC, or industry specific training an asset. Able to lift heavy objects on a regular basis. Exceptional customer service skills. Excellent communications skills. Ability to navigate computer and or handheld applications. Able to work well in a team but able to work independently when required. Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Salary:$37 - $43 hourly(based on skills, experience, qualifications, and geography).
