File #26-007 EveryMind Mental Health Services is looking for a highly-skilled, experienced, and enthusiastic early childhood Resource Consultant for their EarlyON program in a contractual role of 12 months with a start date in March 2026. Overview RESOURCE CONSULTANT EarlyON Program Contract for 12 months (37.5 hours per week) File #26-007 EveryMind is an accredited child and youth mental health organization that provides a continuum of high-quality mental health services for children, youth and their families who are experiencing or are at risk of experiencing mental health, social, emotional and/or behavioural challenges. The EarlyON Child Development Supports Service (CDS) is a special needs resourcing model providing support to families and staff at all EarlyON locations in Peel. This includes identifying, planning, and implementing the delivery of resources and supports to provide early identification services to both families and EarlyON staff which will allow: families to access general child development information and strategies through informal discussions and/or consultations; and EarlyON staff to access a resource to help guide their responses to families questions enhancing their ability to connect families to specialized services and to partner with in the planning of inclusive programs. Reporting to the Supervisor, Clinical Services, the Resource Consultant is a member of the team that has primary responsibility for providing special needs resourcing support to parents/caregivers across Peel Region. This is a 12 month contract covering a parental leave. Hiring salary range - $60,101.86 - $65,006.17 (Step 1 to 3 in a 5-step pay band). Hiring salaries are commensurate with experience and generally start at the beginning of the range. Why work at EveryMind? Job Responsibilities Work in collaboration with service providers to ensure an optimal learning environment for all children by conducting an inclusion scan and providing relevant strategies and recommendations. Support early identification and onward referrals to community partners as necessary for intervention. Build capacity by working with programs, families and communities and promote diversity, equity and inclusion. Provide consultation services, learning and development opportunities, mentoring and modeling to increase capacity to work with children with special needs and support healthy development of children attending the programs. Determine the childs strengths and needs using developmental and environmental tools to indicate necessary support for progress. Work in partnership with the child, family and staff (as per consent) to review recommendations and next steps. Develop and facilitate groups and workshops for families and caregivers on identified topics. Maintain up-to-date records per clinical recording guidelines for each child and family consultation; maintain ongoing progress notes, meeting records and recommendations by other professionals involved. Provide supervision to students as required, completing all documentation. Participate as part of multidisciplinary teams within EveryMind, including ICYF and PIRS program support teams. Complete monthly reporting and tracking charts as required. Support delivery of Peel Infant-Parent Program (EarlyON onsite component) as needed. Support the EarlyON CDS phone line to respond to queries about EarlyON CDS and booking consultations. Work flexible hours (including evenings and biweekly Saturday coverage) according to client and/or program needs. Skills & Qualifications Early Childhood Education Diploma AND Resource Consultation Certification OR an ECE Diploma with Advanced Studies in Special Needs OR a Bachelors Degree in Child Studies. Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators. Three years experience working with and programming for children with special needs. Demonstrated experience supporting inclusion of children within the 0-6 age range. Understanding of child development and applying a mental health and trauma-informed lens. Experience in facilitating workshops and groups. Bilingual in French and English; proficiency in other languages used by Peel Region residents is a plus. Competence with Client Information Database Systems and Microsoft Office Suite; information sourcing and report writing. Available to work flexible hours (including evenings and biweekly Saturday coverage). Valid G Class Ontario Drivers Licence and access to a reliable vehicle; willingness to drive across Peel Region. Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check and Pre-Employment Medical screening (including TB test, MMR, TD, Polio, Covid-19 Vaccination) is required.
