The role is part of the Scotia Financial Planning team within Global Asset Management, focused on delivering high-quality financial planning and investment advice to the mass affluent market. You will focus on developing and deepening client relationships by leveraging external networks and centres of influence, meeting clients outside of the office when needed, and providing investment and financial planning advice to help them meet their goals. You will operate within a Scotiabank framework that benefits both clients and the practice. Following a comprehensive financial planning framework, you will drive investment sales and new client acquisition while adhering to Global Sales Principles, compliance and regulatory requirements. You will establish business development opportunities with prospects and clients within the assigned market area. Location: Canada, New Brunswick, Tracadie-sheila. This is a mobile role requiring frequent travel. Responsibilities Promote the development and sustainable growth of proprietary investment business in the assigned market area. Business Development: Execute on business development plans for prospects and existing clients within the mass affluent market. Identify additional opportunities and facilitate the implementation of investment solutions or referrals to appropriate partners. Client-Centric: Provide client-centric investment solutions through a financial planning framework, aligning with Global Sales Principles. Conduct outbound communications and proactive calling to prospects. Conduct complementary needs analyses. Community Involvement: Participate in local professional and community events to expand network. Deliver community information sessions and financial seminars. Build a market profile and network with investment industry specialists while managing a small budget for independent marketing activities. Skills and Qualifications 3 years of experience in financial planning and investment sales. Mutual funds certified professional with current accreditation and MFDA licensing (Investments Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course). Personal Financial Planning (PFP) designation and/or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Proven networking, client acquisition and interpersonal skills; experience building Centres of Influence (COIs). Entrepreneurial, goal oriented; able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. Extensive knowledge of competitive offerings, market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory environment. Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle to meet clients and prospects in the designated district. Bilingual in French and English. Whats in it for you?
