Were hiring a Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician in Fort McMurray! As an Instrumentation Technician with Suncor, you can expect to learn new things, improve current processes and work with some of the most talented people in our industry. Minimum Requirements Two years of trade experience as fully qualified Journeyperson A valid Alberta Journeyperson certified or Interprovincial Red Seal Instrumentation Technician certificate High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) Knowledge and understanding of pressure, temperature, level and flow instrumentation and controls Prior use and knowledge of test equipment related to the instrumentation trade Able to read and work from P&ID''s, loop drawings, data sheets, etc. Possess a valid drivers license and a clean driving record Key Accountabilities Execute planned maintenance and response work Perform walk downs and help build energy isolation packages Maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of all types of instrumentation and controls Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and equipment deficiencies Provide safety, cost, and operational improvement feedback opportunities as you see them Participate in the development of maintenance procedures and follow maintenance procedures and instructions Location & other key details This position is located at our Base plant Location in Fort McMurray, AB The shift schedule is a six days on/six days off rotation (three days on, three nights on, six days off; 12-hour shifts) This position is safety sensitive You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use of ladders and working on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory To learn more about living and working in Fort McMurray, click here Why Suncor?
