A General Merchandise Associate at Walmart Canada plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, safe sales floor. The position requires friendly, proactive interaction with shoppers and a strong focus on product presentation and store cleanliness. What You''ll Do Greet customers in a polite, friendly manner and assist them with product selection, pricing and purchasing decisions. Cover an assigned sales floor area, zone the area and keep it organized. Move feature merchandise to its modular home and maintain modulars and flex modulars. Recover merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store. Assists with Front End coverage and communicates with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained. Complete safety sweep logs, secure displays and fixtures, and contribute to a hazardfree work environment. Stock merchandise, pick, downstock when applicable, apply product protection when required, and set new shelf caps. Minimum Qualifications Age 16 or older.
