Sheriff''s Department Disqualifier Halifax County Public Health Systems is recruiting for a Human Services Planner/Evaluator II to manage grant projects proposed and approved for the distribution of the local opioid settlement funding. This position will be responsible for initiating and managing emerging projects that integrate public health prevention strategies, drug treatment strategies, and behavioral health programs through opioid settlement funds that aim to address the opioid crisis. These projects will be proposed and approved in collaboration with the Board of Halifax County Commissioners and Halifax County Management to improve the overall state of substance use in the county. Requirements Planner: A master''s degree in public or human services administration or a human services programmatic field preferably with course work in human services planning and one year of experience in human service program planning or administration; or graduation from a four-year college or university and three years of administrative or consultative experience in a human service program; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Evaluator: A master''s degree in the field of psychology, sociology or social work and one year of experience in research and evaluation using statistical methodologies in human service programs; or graduation from a four-year college or university and three years experience in research, evaluation and statistical application in the human service field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Note: All health department employees (with the exception of individuals with an accommodation or medical exemption) are required to get an annual flu shot vaccine as part of condition of employment. Compensation The hiring range for this position is $50,118 - $63,459. Halifax County provides a comprehensive employee benefits package, including membership in the N.C. Local Government Employees Retirement System. The continuation of this position is subject to annual review and approval of grant funding.
