Position Overview Protostatix, a division of Englobe, is seeking an Intermediate / Senior Structural Engineer for our Etobicoke, Ontario office. You must have local industry experience and work collaboratively within the Structural team, emphasizing teamwork over isolated design/detailing. Does this role suit you? Learn more about it! Your Main Responsibilities Proficiency in Wood construction projects; experience in Concrete and Steel projects is also required. Perform site investigations, inspections, reviews, and prepare technical reports and compliance letters. Describe existing conditions and provide engineering solutions through assessments and studies. Perform calculations, analysis, and design of structural elements per applicable codes. Manage and generate project documentation such as drawings and specifications. Manage project schedules and budgets. Interact with clients and contractors throughout projects. Review designs and drawings from junior staff, providing mentorship. Review contractor submittals and develop design modifications as needed. Market services to new and existing clients. Apply and promote Englobes health and safety rules. What Makes You Unique Registered with a provincial engineering association (PEO, EGBC, APEGS, etc.). Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering. 5+ years of relevant experience in structural design, especially in wood construction. Knowledge of Canadian building codes and standards. Experience in project management and contract administration. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience with structural analysis software (ETABS, SAFE, SFRAME, etc.). Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and as part of a team.
