Centre hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some flexibility for weekday evening work depending on client needs. Learn more about us: About the Opportunity Were looking for a fulltime Social Worker/Service Planning Coordinator who is passionate about working alongside children and families in a caring, respectful way to fill a 12month contract. This position with support families in the East District including Elliot Lake. This is to backfill a vacancy. In this role, youll be part of creating welcoming, familycentred care through assessment, intervention, coaching, and education that supports children and families in Elliot Lake and nearby communities. Youll work as part of an interdisciplinary team that includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Infant and Child Development Consultants, and Supervised Instructor Therapists (ABA Therapists), and other amazing disciplines. Together, we collaborate to ensure holistic, coordinated, and strengthsbased care for every child and family we serve. As part of our collaborative team, you will: Provide familycentred service, case management, family support, advocacy and services and supports to clients and their families Develop and facilitate groups for clients and families Develop coordinated service plans to support families of children with multiple and/or complex diverse needs Collaborate with caregivers, schools, and other professionals. Deliver services in a culturally responsive and familycentred way. Work in alignment with THRIVEs Mission, Vision, Values, and familycentred philosophy. Depending on caseload, youll work at the Centre, in the community, or school settings. Opportunity to help shape the next generation of professionals by mentoring and serving as a preceptor for placement students in a supportive, learningfocused environment. Travel within the region (including occasional overnight trips). What You Bring Bachelors degree in social work (or equivalent). Member in good standing (or in process) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Experience with children and youth (new grads welcome!). Commitment to equity, inclusion, cultural safety, and family partnership. Knowledge of community services and programs that provide service to children and families. Experience with cross agency collaboration. Strong communication, teamwork, and problemsolving skills. Comfort with technology (MS Office, Zoom, Teams, virtual therapy). Valid drivers licence and reliable transportation. Current CPR/First Aid certification training. Satisfactory background and vulnerable sector check. Proof of full COVID19 vaccination. Willingness to work flexible hours (including evenings if needed). Assets Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required. Why Join Us?
