About the Role The Building Science & Restoration Engineer works with our Building Science and Restoration team, providing subject matter expertise in developing building envelope solutions and leading projects in Northern Alberta. The successful candidate is comfortable dealing with clients, communicating with contractors, and working on active construction sites. Key Responsibilities Manage building envelope projects from conceptual design to final completion. Conduct site investigations and evaluate building envelope systems. Formulate envelope solutions to maximize energy efficiency and achieve carbon reduction in accordance with current building codes. Design, analyse, and prepare reports and studies of building envelope systems. Coordinate with other engineering and architectural disciplines to provide technical expertise on building envelope designs. Perform contract administration and construction review while executing project requirements. Market and solicit work from new and existing clients. Remain current on industry trends, standards and guidelines and establish best practices. Professional Qualifications Education Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. Completing courses in Building Science is preferred. Experience or coursework in Project Management, legal, and technical writing is an asset. Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in structural restoration/structural engineering. Registered P.Eng. with APEGA. Experience in a consulting firm is an asset. Experience in the construction industry is an asset. Skills Strong, effective, and clear communication skills written and verbal. Committed to client service and technical excellence.
