Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Market Researcher to provide deep insights into our brands position within the market, identify opportunities for growth, and understand the evolving needs of our target audience. Your insights will guide strategic decisions across marketing campaigns, product development, and brand positioning. Responsibilities Design and execute brand health tracking studies to monitor brand performance over time. Conduct audience research to identify target demographics, preferences, behaviors, and emerging trends. Analyze competitive landscapes, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to translate insights into actionable strategies for brand growth. Develop and maintain research methodologies, including surveys, focus groups, interviews, and dataanalysis techniques. Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear, compelling manner. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in market research tools and methodologies. Research Methodologies Quantitative Methods: Proficient in surveys (e.g., Conjoint, MaxDiff), structured interviews, and usage data analysis; experienced in hypothesis development, sampling, and statistical methods such as regression, clustering, and thematic analysis. Qualitative Methods: Skilled in focus groups, indepth interviews, ethnographic studies, and content analysis, interpreting openended data into actionable insights. Secondary Research: Competent in literature reviews, industry reports, and competitor benchmarking using databases such as Statista and IBISWorld. SEO and Social Listening Tools: Familiar with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Brandwatch, and Mention to gauge audience behavior and brand sentiment. Strategic & Analytical Skills Competitive Analysis: Conduct comprehensive SWOT analysis, market positioning maps, and competitive benchmarking. Trend Forecasting: Identify and interpret emerging trends using trendanalysis tools or methodologies. Customer Segmentation & Personas: Segment target markets and develop detailed customer personas based on demographic, psychographic, and behavioral criteria. Insight Generation: Synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights that inform brand strategies. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or a related field; a Masters degree is a plus. 7+ years of experience in market research, brand analysis, or a similar role, preferably in the tech industry. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insightful conclusions. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced environment. Proactive, detailoriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Compensation In the United States, salary ranges vary by region: San Francisco: $122,500 $191,000 Other California markets: $101,000 $181,000 Canada: $128,000 CAD $169,500 CAD Other U.S. markets: $101,000 $181,000 All teams also receive equity, comprehensive benefits, and performancebased incentives.
