Proposal Manager Were hiring a Proposal Manager to lead our proposal group and our business development and delivery functions. This role is central to shaping quality proposals, guiding proposal strategy, managing complex submissions, and overseeing a pipeline of opportunities across government, nonprofit, and corporate sectors. The proposal manager brings structure and leadership to the process, ensuring every submission is competitive, compelling, and aligned with realworld outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead the full lifecycle of proposals and funding applications, from opportunity research and strategic framing to drafting, submission, and postsubmission followup. Manage timelines, workflow, and quality control for multiple concurrent proposals, ensuring deadlines are met and standards upheld. Directly oversee the preparation of grant applications, RFP responses, and technical submissions, ensuring clarity, compliance, and strategic alignment. Develop and maintain proposal infrastructure, including templates, organizational profiles, and reusable content libraries. Collaborate with leadership, project teams, and subjectmatter experts to capture insights, data, and outcomes that strengthen submissions. Monitor and analyze funding landscapes and procurement trends to identify highvalue opportunities for Forward Creative and its clients. Provide coaching, feedback, and mentorship to staff supporting proposal development. Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement officials and government agencies. Your Skills & Experience A clear, structured writer with strong attention to detail and the ability to work across multiple industries and proposal types. Confident navigating granting systems, RFP portals, and submission processes, especially in government and nonprofit contexts. Ability to distill complex or technical information into concise, accessible, and persuasive content. Experience in technical writing, business development, or public sector documentation. Strong communicator and collaborator with the ability to manage timelines and feedback from multiple stakeholders. Comfortable balancing multiple priorities and working to tight deadlines. Familiarity with proposal evaluation criteria and the funding landscape. Cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with procurement officials and government agencies. What You Bring Minimum 35 years of relevant experience in grant writing, proposal development, or technical communications. Experience managing a proposal group within a professional services firm. Experience writing for nonprofits, small businesses, or government clients. Strong research, writing, and editing skills, with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and impact. Proficiency in Google Workspace; experience with CRM or grant management software. High standards, accountability, and a commitment to quality and impact. Benefits Health and dental coverage.
