About Us - The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United and SNC-Lavalin. Shoreline Power Group will be completing the Fuel Channel and Feeder Replacement (FCFR) project for Bruce Power at the Bruce Nuclear Generating Station in Kincardine, Ontario. This project is part of Bruce Powers Life Extension Program and the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program to replace main reactor components. Unit 6 is the first of six reactors being replaced. Position The Quality Inspector is responsible for the performance of all quality functions and duties as related to the FCFR construction activities performed under the JV QA Program. The position reports to the Project Quality Assurance Supervisor. What You''ll Do Here Participate in execution of the Inspection and Test Plans Perform quality inspection in accordance with the related codes and customer specifications Such Inspections Shall Include But Not Be Limited To Dimensional inspections Visual welding inspection Hardness testing Positive material identification Review of Certified Material Test Reports as required Perform internal weld monitoring as required Complete all associated documentation and forms for individual inspections Tracking of non-conformance reports and corrective/preventative action requests Participate in the development and maintenance of a cost of quality tracking system What You Bring To The Team Graduate secondary school education in welding technology, QA/QC or a related discipline at a University or College level W178 Level 1 or 2 Visual Weld inspection (preferred) Good communication and organizational skills Computer literate in MS Office ASME Code, B&PV plus Nuclear/ ISO 9001 and CWB experience Previous experience in receiving inspections and controls within a Nuclear Qualified Warehouse and Clean Room would be considered an asset Reason for vacancy: New role. The expected pay range for this position is $37-$45 per hour. Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions.
