Strategic Accounts Sales Manager Industrial Distribution Wholesaler (Uncapped Commission) Greater Vancouver, BC Strategic Accounts Sales Manager is a newly created BDM sales position aligned with a national wholesale distributor serving the Canadian Construction and Industrial sectors. This role operates from a home-office setting with a strategic focus on new account acquisition, targeting companies across British Columbia, with emphasis on the GVA, Lower Mainland & Fraser Valley markets. The role centers on hunting, acquiring, and signing new customers in the industrial and construction sectors to contract agreements that meet division goals. Responsibilities Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities across the assigned territory. Deliver product training and technical support to field sales teams and customers, including engineers and end users, as required. Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with both existing accounts and prospective customers. Continuously expand industry and product knowledge through professional development, market research, and active participation in industry networks. Maintain a strong understanding of competitive offerings, including product positioning, strengths, limitations, and pricing structures. Demonstrate agility by quickly assuming new responsibilities and adapting to evolving business priorities. Prospect, qualify, and pursue high-potential customers with annual spend opportunities ranging from $100K to $1M within designated territories or sectors. Design and execute targeted account acquisition strategies using CRM platforms and data-driven customer insights. Lead value-based, consultative sales engagements across MRO, repair services, automation, and supply chain solutions. Prepare and deliver proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and secure formal customer commitments, including signed agreements or onboarding documentation. Partner cross-functionally with technical, implementation, and support teams to ensure seamless onboarding and successful conversion of new customers into revenue-producing accounts. Qualifications 5+ years of sales experience within a competitive setting. Preference to strategic sales professionals with past or current experience from the Wholesale Distribution sector. Track record of success targeting, pursuing and acquiring new business this is not an Account Management position. Demonstrated ability to work independently, and efficiently with minimal supervision. Strong team player with exceptional interpersonal and presentation abilities. Possess a valid driver''s license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle. Demonstrated success in new customer acquisition and bringing on new customers. Strong grasp of value-based, consultative selling methodologies. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). Highly self-motivated, accountable, and results-driven.
