About the Position Under the direction of the Senior Recreation and Culture Ambassadors (and Supervisor of Aquatics and Recreation Programs), the Recreation and Culture Ambassador is responsible for facilitating Rec Rentals @ the docks, Empire Sportsplex, pool admissions and aiding with events on the waterway. Duties & Responsibilities The duties listed are not meant to provide a description of each and every job performed but only those which represent the core functions of the job. Load and unload boats, ensuring equipment safety and assisting patrons as needed. Provide excellent customer service by handling sales, cash transactions, and performing daily opening/closing procedures. Ensure overall safety and supervision of the public at all locations, making quick decisions to address safety concerns or emergencies. Clean and maintain facilities, equipment, supplies, and public bathrooms. Manage pool admissions, ensuring smooth patron entry and exit, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities and programs. Execute all policies and emergency procedures, reporting any issues or concerns to the Senior Recreation and Culture Ambassador. Perform administrative duties and other related tasks as assigned. What you need to Succeed... Must be available to work from May - October Must be available for full-time hours (24 - 44 hours per week) in July and August, unless other arrangements have been made with the supervisor Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C Certification Valid Pleasure Craft Operator Card High Five: Principles of Healthy Childhood Development certification is considered an asset.
