Job Description We are looking for a Class 1 P&D Light Rover to cover various terminals in Northern Saskatchewan and throughout our network. You will be responsible for performing pickups and deliveries in various towns as required, ensuring timely and accurate service. You will use an Electronic Logging Device (ELD) to track your onduty and drive time, maintaining compliance with hours of service regulations. You will be based in Saskatoon, SK, but may be required to travel to other locations for extended periods (13 weeks). During these ''floating'' assignments, the company will cover hotel costs and travel expenses if using your personal vehicle. You will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining a commercial vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies. You will need to efficiently plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and departures. You will be required to load and unload freight, which may involve the use of material handling equipment such as forklifts. You will be responsible for accurately completing and submitting all required paperwork, including delivery receipts, bills of lading, and incident reports. You will need to maintain regular communication with dispatch and customers, providing updates on delivery status and any potential delays. You will be expected to conduct pretrip and posttrip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly. You will be responsible for securing and properly handling all types of cargo to prevent damage during transit. You may be required to assist in training new drivers or act as a mentor for less experienced team members. You will need to adapt to changing weather conditions and adjust your driving accordingly to ensure safe operations. You will be expected to represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining positive relationships with customers and the public. You may be required to participate in ongoing safety training and professional development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge in the transportation industry.
