Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), YYZ Job Description Posted Monday, December 29, 2025 at 9:00 AM Reporting to: Maintenance Supervisor Schedule: This role works an 12 hour shift (inclusive of 1 hour of unpaid breaks) The big picture: Have your career take off with us! As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) on our Maintenance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and airworthiness of our fleet. This role is well suited to someone with a broad, handson understanding of complex aircraft systems, including structural maintenance and select avionics and electronic systems work. You will be responsible for performing and certifying aircraft maintenance in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), approved maintenance standards, and AirSprint procedures. The ideal candidate is passionate about aviation, brings a high level of technical knowledge across multiple systems, and applies strong troubleshooting skills to ensure aircraft are maintained to the highest safety standards. Compensation starts on day one, with annual increases tied to performance. AME M2 includes ACA* Salary Structure: Level 1: $92,000.00 Level 2: $95,220.00 Level 3: $98,553.00 Level 4: $102,002.00 Level 5: $105,572.00 Level 6: $109,267.00 Level 7: $113,091.00 Level 8: $117,050.00 Level 9: $121,146.00 Level 10: $125,387.00 Level 11: $130,000.00 *ACA salary scale is calculated at 7% of the base salary for AMEs holding signing authority on two or more aircraft types. It is the departments expectation and intent that all AMEs achieve and maintain ACA on a minimum of two aircraft types, thereby qualifying for the full 7% ACA rate. In this role you will: Complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AirSprints fleet of modern business aircraft in accordance with Transport Canadas regulations and standards. Carry out repair, servicing, and troubleshooting of aircraft and components according to specifications, company manuals and established procedures. Troubleshoot and repair advanced aircraft mechanical and electrical systems utilizing comprehensive, and up to date technical resources with full support from the manufacturer. Perform maintenance on Turbo Fan aircraft equipped with Full Authority Digital Engine Controls (FADEC). Work with advanced avionics packages comprised of leadingedge technology. Report issues affecting the serviceability or safety of aircraft. To be successful in this role, you will have: Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC). A Canadian Passport or a valid Passport to another country with a US Visa. Bonus points if you have: Current experience on aircraft type (Cessna 525 series, Embraer 545/550). Current experience with Garmin G3000 or Collins Proline Fusion avionics suites. Current experience on Honeywell HTF7000 or Williams FJ44 power plants. A valid YYC or YYZ Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP).
