Construction Superintendent Join IREN as a Construction Superintendent in Mackenzie, B.C. You will oversee all construction activities on our data center projects, ensuring that highperformance computing technologies, UPS systems and redundant power infrastructure are installed, tested and commissioned to meet project requirements and industry standards. Compensation & Rewards Competitive hourly rate of CAD$57per hour plus a $150per day per diem/LOA. Job Requirements Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 7+ years of experience in electrical construction management, preferably in missioncritical environments (data centers, hospitals, or similar). Strong understanding of UPS systems, generators, switchgear, PDUs, redundant A/B power distribution and liquid cooling technologies. Proven track record of managing largescale electrical construction projects from design through commissioning. Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (CEC, NFPA, etc.). Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple contractors and ensure alignment with project goals. Preferred Experience Prior experience in data center construction and commissioning. Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification. Job Responsibilities Project Oversight: Manage the planning, execution and delivery of all construction activities for data center projects, including power distribution, UPS systems and redundant electrical infrastructure. Technical Leadership: Review electrical and civil design documents, singleline diagrams, specifications and submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry best practices. Coordination: Interface with mechanical, civil and IT/Network teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical and mechanical components with data center operations. Vendor & Contractor Management: Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality installation. Commissioning & Testing: Oversee testing, inspection and commissioning of electrical systemsincluding UPS, generators, switchgear and redundant power pathsto meet reliability and uptime targets. Safety & Compliance: Ensure all electrical work adheres to NFPA, CSA and local codes, as well as internal safety and quality standards. Scheduling & Budget Control: Track progress, manage schedules and ensure project milestones are achieved within budget and timeline. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to electrical infrastructure, redundancy and system reliability. Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear updates to project leadership, clients and stakeholders on progress, challenges and solutions.
