DESCRIPTION We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Fort McMurray, AB. This will be a 14x14 rotational shift (work is dispatched from the Fort McMurray branch) part of a mobile team supporting various sites. You will make an impact in the following ways Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs. Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools. Coaches on preventative maintenance activities and basic repairs completed by customer employees. Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced OnSite Technicians and/or Supervisor. Completes required documentation such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. Completes training in line with skill and business requirements; maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation. Ensures adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues/ incidents to site management and their supervisor. RESPONSIBILITIES In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: Education, Licenses, Certifications Heavy duty Red seal certification Offroad is mandatory for these roles. Valid drivers license. Clean drivers abstract. Experience Basic level field service work experience. Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation or engine products. High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience (optional). Customer service experience. About the role Random drug and alcohol testing on site. Service vehicle and tooling are provided. 14 shifts on, 14 shifts off days and nights. Position is safety sensitive. Cummins offers a $5,000 signon bonus for this role. Premiums are also associated with this role. A $1,000 monthly living allowance is also included in this package. Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
