Sukoon Cares is a virtual mental health platform dedicated to delivering culturally informed, evidence-based counselling tailored to the South Asian community across Canada. We are expanding our team in British Columbia and Alberta, and are seeking RCCs, CCCs, and provincially registered mental health professionals who are passionate about providing thoughtful, culturally adapted client-centred care online. Therapists who bring lived experience, cultural understanding, or the ability to speak South Asian languages (such as Punjabi, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Tamil, etc.) are strongly encouraged to apply, as this greatly enhances connection and trust with our client community. Responsibilities Provide culturally responsive individual and/or family counselling to clients of varying ages. Support clients through a secure virtual platform, working autonomously with flexibility. Integrate cultural, familial, and identity factors into planning and session work. Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential documentation following provincial regulations (e.g., PIPA). Take part in peer consultations, supervision opportunities, and ongoing professional learning. Foster a warm, respectful, and affirming space where clients feel understood and supported. Maintain active professional liability insurance. Demonstrate comfort and proficiency with technology and virtual practice systems. Requirements Registered professional with a mental health association in Alberta or BC (BCACC, RCC, CCC, CCPA, or equivalent designation). Masters degree in Counselling or Clinical Psychology Certifications in Couples (Gottman/Imago/EFT) is an asset. Experience supporting diverse or immigrant communities; experience with culturally adapted approaches is an asset. The ability to offer therapy in a South Asian language is a strong advantage, though not required. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a virtual care setting.
