Position Title : Mechanic Location: Woodbine, MD Position Summary Chapel Valley Landscape Company is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including trucks, tractors, trailers, and specialized landscaping machinery. Your work will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our fleet operations. Responsibilities and Duties Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on company vehicles and equipment. Conduct oil changes, grease machines, clean air filters, and check for potential mechanical issues. Troubleshoot problems, develop cost-effective repair options, and complete repair orders. Respond to road calls and perform field repairs when necessary. Maintain accurate records, timesheets, and service logs to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations. Assist with parts ordering, inventory control, and shop organization. Promote and follow safety standardsensuring all tools, equipment, and vehicles are properly secured and maintained. Support company and department goals with a positive, team-oriented mindset. Qualifications Experience and Education 5+ years of mechanic experience (cars, trucks, tractors, trailers, and equipment preferred). High School Diploma or GED (Vo-Tech or 2-year technical degree is a plus). Special Skills and Licensure Skills : Welding, electronic/fuel/brake system knowledge, and the ability to read manuals and follow procedures. License : CDL preferred with a clean driving record (must be insurable under company policy). Physical Ability : Able to lift up to 75 lbs during an 810 hour shift. Work Ethic : Willingness to work overtime or off-hours during snow/ice events or emergencies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
