Overview Glazier, curtain walls or equivalent experience. On-site client service in commercial and retail settings, including installation, repair and maintenance of glass products and curtain wall systems. Responsibilities Determine kind of glass, structures and materials needed Measure, mark and cut glass Set glass panes in frames; install premade glass, mirrors or glass products Mount doors, windows and other hardware Repair glass doors and other glass frameworks Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment Read and translate plans, maps, illustrations and specifications Operate at elevations, on scaffolding or swing stages Work with various glass/material types and systems (curtain walls, spandrel panels, skylights, etc.) Install drape walls, skylights, incline glazed installations and aluminum store fronts Install curtain walls and hold glazing systems Comply with safety protocols and site safety rules Requirements / Qualifications Valid drivers license and own vehicle Physically demanding; able to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications Experience with glass, framing, and glazing systems Work Conditions On-site client service; outdoors and at heights; work can be in commercial or retail environments Work at heights and in cold/refrigerated or warm environments Potential travel to job sites; operating at elevations or on scaffolding #J-18808-Ljbffr
