Pinchin is looking for a Senior Assessment/Remediation Project Manager to join the Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation/Insurance Services team, based in either Mississauga or Markham, ON. This position reports directly to the National Director of Insurance Services & Risk, Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation and is being hired as a replacement role. Role Overview In this role, you will manage projects and provide senior-level review across a diverse range of technical activities within our Insurance Services team, including spill management, subsurface investigations to assess environmental contamination, remedial planning and implementation, environmental forensics, litigation support, and peer review. As a senior practitioner, you will also contribute to staff development by delivering training, coordinating efforts, and ensuring quality control for junior and intermediate team members within the group. Your Impact as Senior Assessment/Remediation Project Manager Manage or provide technical support on spills, investigations and remediation projects across Ontario and Canada to ensure that they are completed on time and within budget. Prepare and review budgets, work plans/proposals, reports and invoices to meet company requirements and to the satisfaction of the client. Perform other areas of project-related financial management. Build leadership and mentorship skills by working with and mentoring junior staff. Communicate with Clients and understand their project requirements. Maintain existing client relationships and identify opportunities for new business relationships. Participate in business development initiatives to build new client relationships and maintain existing ones. What You''ll Bring to Pinchin As the ideal candidate, you are excited by the opportunity to manage your own client portfolio and provide effective leadership to your project team. A Bachelor''s or Master''s Degree in Engineering, Geology or related Science. Licensed Professional in Ontario in a respective discipline (P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag., etc.) is required, or an ability to obtain the License within one year from the employment. A minimum of 10-15 years of environmental consulting experience with significant portion as a project manager for environmental site assessments, remediation technology evaluation, remediation scope development and detailed specifications, and remediation costing A good knowledge of how risk assessments and remediation are complementary. Exposure to a variety of remediation technologies, implementation, operation, maintenance and monitoring of the remediation treatment systems ideal. Strong working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 153/04, and other applicable environmental regulations in Ontario (at a minimum) and across Canada (an asset) Ability to manage multiple long and short-term projects. Proven experience with complicated spill response, site assessment and remediation projects, as well as knowledge/experience with key contractors performing this work across Ontario. Proven ability to develop our existing client base and recognize new market opportunities. Proven proficiency in invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project related financial management. Valid driver''s licence and insurance are required (work related travel expenses will be compensated). Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
