General Posting Information POSITION: Technician II DEPARTMENT: Central Sterilization and Reprocessing Department (CSR) CONDITIONS: Temporary Part-time (0.40 FTE) for approximately two (2) months HOURS: Approximately 30.0 Bi-weekly hours SHIFTS: Days / Evenings / Weekends 7.5 hours per shift (subject to change) WAGE RANGE: Scale Minimum Maximum CUPE23 $28.56/hr $30.70/hr RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintaining high standards for decontamination, assembly, inspecting, wrapping and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment for Surgical services and all other direct patient care user groups. This includes working in conjuction with the OR staff to provide timely sterile products, trays and case carts where applicable. Maintaining consistency and continuous workflow between the OR, the direct patient care user groups and CSR while practicing above-average customer service. Demontrate QCH values: collaboration, accountablity, innovation and respect REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 edcuation Medical Device Reprocessing Certificate from an accredited college or Certificate from CSA Group Ability to operate computer Excellent interpersonal organizational and problem-solving skills Good oral and written communcation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team PREFERRED: Proven knowledge of ''OR'' instrumentation and sterilization processes an asset Knowlege of inventory control, distribution functions, and case cart systems an asset Central Services Association of Ontario Membership 1 year experience in a healthcare setting This posting is for an existing position.
