Position Description Summer Student - Rehabilitation Department The Rehabilitation Department Summer Student will assist with several clinical and quality improvement projects under the supervision of the Senior Clinical Manager of Rehabilitation Services and the Team Lead - Quality Programs of Rehabilitation Services. The student will collaborate with the rehabilitation team and play an important role in supporting the clinical environment. Here''s What You''ll Get To Do: Assist in preparing and organizing therapy spaces, including setting up equipment before sessions and helping to reset areas afterward. Support the team with general organizational tasks such as maintaining well-stocked supply cupboards and keeping shared therapy spaces accessible. Participate in quality-improvement activities, including assisting with small departmental projects, equipment reviews, and gathering feedback from patients and families. Help create and prepare educational materials, therapeutic resources, and simple home-programming activities under the guidance of clinical staff. Provide assistance during group programs (e.g., infant and child development groups, pain management groups), helping with setup, facilitation, and cleanup as directed. Support designated testing activities (e.g., food texture or therapeutic product testing) by preparing materials, observing procedures, and documenting basic findings under supervision. Join daily team huddles or rounding to support workflow tasks, update ordering boards, and assist with follow-up actions assigned by the team. Carry out additional routine tasks that contribute to smooth clinic operations and enhance patient and family experience. Here''s what you''ll need Enrollment in a post-secondary health-related program, with an interest in pediatric health care, rehabilitation, child development, or related fields.
