Job Summary We are seeking a professional, safety-focused Part-Time Class 1 Tanker Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting bulk flammable liquids in company-owned tanker trucks to our valued customers throughout Vancouver and the surrounding Lower Mainland, operating out of our Abbotsford base. The ideal applicant is fluent in English, professional in appearance, responsible, and operates with a strong team-first mindset. You must currently be located in the Fraser Valley and be legally eligible to work in Canada. Intimate knowledge of Vancouver and Fraser Valley roads and truck routes is a non-negotiable prerequisite. Strong working knowledge of technology (tablets, scanners, dispatch software) is required. Current or past experience loading at refineries and fuel terminals is considered a major asset. Fuel delivery, tanker, and liquid pumping experience are also strong assets. Schedule This is a part-time position with locally dispatched shifts based on operational demand. Mandatory Saturday availability is required. Weekday availability is also preferred. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a tanker to deliver bulk fuel to customer locations across the service area Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements to ensure secure handling and transportation of flammable liquids Load and unload fuel in compliance with company procedures and industry standards Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and reliability Maintain accurate and timely delivery logs, transaction records, and customer documentation Communicate proactively with dispatch and team members to support efficient routing and scheduling Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and representing the company professionally Comply with all traffic laws, regulations, and company driving standards Daily Duties Complete a thorough vehicle pre-trip inspection at the start of each shift Utilize computer tablets, scanners, and dispatch tools to complete and monitor customer orders Safely deliver and dispense fuel to customers across the Lower Mainland in a timely and professional manner Maintain accurate records of all daily transactions and deliveries Communicate clearly and effectively with dispatch and customers throughout the shift Ensure proper care of customer equipment and vehicles; note and report any issues observed (including photos when required) Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and professionalism on customer sites Educate customers on the benefits of Paz Fuels'' delivery service and reinforce their decision to work with us Consistently exceed customer expectations in both service quality and safety performance Qualifications Valid Class 1 Driver''s License with Air Brake Endorsement Clean driver''s abstract with no at-fault accidents within the past 48 months Minimum 5 years of relevant commercial driving experience Strong working knowledge of Lower Mainland truck routes and traffic patterns Professional, responsible, safety-driven approach with strong customer service instincts Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on positive customer outcomes Physically capable of lifting up to 70 lbs and performing job-required tasks Comfortable using mobile technology and digital documentation tools Ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug testing if required Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and reside in the Fraser Valley Assets Experience loading at fuel terminals and refineries Fuel delivery, tanker operation, or bulk liquid pumping experience TDG, WHMIS, or site-specific terminal certifications Experience working in regulated industrial environments Apply with your resume and recent driver''s abstract.
