Tow Truck Operator Van Horne Towing is looking for a light/medium duty & Heavy tow truck operator It is a full-time commission-based position. Experience is not required but is an asset. Willing to train the right candidate. Extended Health Benefits after 3 months of Employment. You will be operating a variety of different equipment/trucks (Recovery trucks + Flat decks) Requirements: Must reside locally Must be flexible with hours/shifts (on call) A team player & works well with others Must have the ability to lift 50lbs, bend, twist, reach, and walk on uneven terrain. Capable of driving a manual transmission an asset Mechanical knowledge is an asset Must Hold a minimum class 3 drivers'' license with Airbrake Endorsement Clean Drivers Abstract Active Cell phone for Digital Invoicing and GPS Duties & Responsibilities: Drive & operate tow trucks safely and efficiently. Load/unload vehicles on and/or off different equipment with use of winches, chains, straps, dollies, and other towing equipment. Road side assistance (Jump starts, Tire changes, Unlocks, Winch outs) Accident Towing/ recoveries and RCMP Impounds Ensure that equipment is clean and in good working order. Pre trip inspections (daily) Basic greasing/maintenance Communicate with dispatch, customers, and other service providers in a professional & respectful manor.
