Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to provide high-quality care to our patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will support patient well-being through personalized care, assisting with daily activities, medication administration, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. Experience in senior care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, including those with dementia or cognitive impairments Perform light cleaning and sanitation of patient areas to maintain a hygienic environment Assist with transfers and heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety protocols are followed Support patients with mobility exercises and physical therapy routines as directed by healthcare professionals Document patient care activities accurately and report any changes in health status to supervising staff Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings preferred Knowledge of patient care techniques, including dementia care, hospice care, and working with people with disabilities Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely and effectively Strong communication skills and compassionate demeanor Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Valid certification in caregiving or relevant healthcare training is a plus but not mandatory Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; some roles may require evening or weekend availability Commitment to maintaining a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines This Healthcare Assistant position is integral to providing compassionate support that enhances the quality of life for our patients.
