Summary The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing various functions of HR such as providing service and support in the areas of recruitment, performance management, strategy, change management, employee relations, training and development, health and safety, to the assigned line of business/multi-sites and or region. Responsibilities Play an integral role as a business partner responsible for all aspects of Human Resources Management for a dedicated region Contribute to the development and implementation of HR programs that support the strategic plans of the business units and the organization Support the operations leadership team to achieve their business goals and to grow their leadership skills Provide expertise on all human resources matters including employee relations, performance management and organizational development Play an integral role in the on-boarding process Provides leadership and consultation to Management in the areas of employee relations, performance management, salary and performance review, corrective action and documentation, recruitment and selection, coaching and development, and policy/legislation awareness. Advises on legislative changes and/or trends in HR; ensures on-going legal compliance with all relevant provincial employment legislation and HR policy; and ensures consistent and fair policy and practice application. Actively participates in the departments strategic plan by providing input and consultation on HR issues. Ensures selection, transfer, and promotion processes are in place Experience Minimum of 5 to 10 years in Human Resources field as a manager in supply chain/transportation or relevant business Experience with labour relations is a strong asset Understanding of Employment Standards and legislation Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft office suite; advanced Word skills required Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Extremely organized, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize.
