Job Summary: As a Logistics Operations Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day logistics operations. This position is responsible for coordinating transportation, managing inventory flow, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure event orders are delivered, set up, and removed smoothly and on schedule. The Logistics Coordinator has overall responsibility for managing, directing, and coordinating the assignment of operational employees to event jobs, ensuring that event setups, deliveries, and removals are completed with the appropriate staffing, equipment, and expertise. This role works closely with other Operations Managers to track scheduling needs, crew assignments, and upcoming event demands. Additionally, the position oversees our fleet and drivers to ensure safe and efficient service. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven event environment. Responsibilities: Logistics Planning and Coordination Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize delivery routes, warehouse layout, and inventory flow for event orders. Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction. Provide clear communication to internal teams and customers regarding delivery schedules, event timelines, and service updates. Transportation and Event Delivery Coordination Coordinate daily transportation activities, including deliveries, pickups, and event site schedules. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Support drivers and crews with accurate routing, load planning, and event-specific requirements. Warehouse and Event Operations Support Oversee warehouse operations related to event rental fulfillment, including picking, packing, staging, loading, and shipping. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment to support quick turnaround between events. Ensure event orders are prepared accurately and on time. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings across logistics, warehouse, and transportation functions. Support operational excellence initiatives to streamline workflows and improve service reliability during peak event seasons. Health and Safety Compliance Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all warehouse and transportation operations. Promote a culture of safety awareness and provide training and support to staff as needed. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, including inventory levels, delivery schedules, fleet usage, and performance metrics. Generate regular reports for senior management on key logistics KPIs and event operations performance. Escalate complex scheduling, staffing, or service issues to management for resolution when necessary. Qualifications: College diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics, supply chain, or operations is an asset. Previous experience in logistics coordination, warehouse operations, transportation, or event-related operations preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple event deadlines. High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory tracking. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. Ability to effectively communicate with warehouse staff, drivers, event crews, customers, and internal teams. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot logistics challenges independently in a fast-paced environment.
