Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Import/Export Coordinator to manage international shipping and logistics operations. This role involves pricing, coordinating freight, overseeing customs compliance, and ensuring seamless customer service, within a dynamic supply chain environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills, experience with warehouse management systems, and a solid understanding of transportation management systems to optimize import/export processes and support overall supply chain efficiency. Duties Coordinate import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements. Manage transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) to track shipments, inventory levels, and order statuses. Collaborate with freight forwarders, 3PL providers, carriers, and customs brokers to facilitate timely delivery of goods. Utilize ERP systems such as AS400 and other software like CMMS for materials management, procurement, and demand planning. Oversee shipping & receiving operations, including order picking, packaging, and materials handling within warehouse facilities. Monitor pricing strategies and sourcing options to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards. Analyze data related to supply chain performance, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement best practices. Support procurement activities related to sourcing materials and managing vendor relationships. Maintain accurate documentation for shipments, customs declarations, and compliance records. Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency of import/export workflows. Managing import and export shipments (air & ocean) Creating and managing bookings, delivery orders (DOs), and shipment files Coordinating with overseas agents, carriers, truckers, and warehouses Client communication and shipment updates with high accuracy Filing and supporting compliance requirements (eManifest, ACI, etc.) Tracking shipments and flagging exceptions proactively Supporting billing, invoicing, and documentation accuracy Assisting with vendor setup and operational coordination Providing quote to the customer on new shipments Additional duties relevant to the role may be assigned as business needs to evolve Experience Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or supply chain coordination. Familiarity with warehouse experience including order fulfillment, inventory management, and materials handling. Experience with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms; knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS) is preferred. Strong understanding of freight logistics, 3PL operations, procurement processes, and transportation management systems. Data analysis skills for monitoring KPIs and identifying operational improvements. Knowledge of packaging standards, demand planning, pricing strategies, and sourcing methods. Ability to operate forklift equipment is a plus but not mandatory. Prior experience in e-commerce logistics or working with CMMS systems is advantageous.
