Work Schedule Day Shift: Monday Friday; 6:30 am 3:00 pm (40 hrs per week) Compensation At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members and are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $28.75. This position may also be eligible for S&Cs annual incentive plan (AIP). AIP amounts are variable and are dependent on both company and team performance, subject to eligibility criteria. The target bonus percentage for this role is 4% of annual base earnings. Key Responsibilities Assemble complex mechanical and electrical components with numerous pieces and installation steps. Cut, crimp, strip, and label wires according to schematics and assembly instructions. Mount mechanical and electrical components while routing and securing cables neatly within assemblies. Inspect mechanical and electronic components and assemblies to ensure correct component selection, placement, and wiring, according to quality standards. Maintain accurate records of tasks performed, deviations, and any quality concerns. Adhere strictly to safety protocols while handling tools, equipment, and materials. Report any safety hazards promptly. Read and understand Bill of Materials (BOLs) and complex, multi-faceted blueprints/schematics with multiple appendices and other reference documents. Test components and assemblies using voltage tests and nitrogen/hydrogen testing systems. Utilize the Oracle ERP and other internal systems to close jobs and request material replenishment. Verify quality standards via a quality assurance checklist. Mentor less experienced team members in the completion of their work to help their professional growth. Participate in LPS improvements, acting as a subject matter expert and problem solver for different activities. Meet department targets and consistently adhere to quality and safety standards. Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in an electrical/mechanical assembly role in a manufacturing environment. Full proficiency in performing precise and delicate tasks using hands and fingers. Able to manipulate small objects, operate tools, and handle intricate equipment effectively. Ability to understand complex blueprints, BOLs, and electrical schematics. Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to determine accurate order quantities consistently. Ability to work independently and meet the requirements of assigned materials requests. Sound communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate information efficiently and effectively to team members in a variety of production support departments. Good computer skills with the ability to review and respond to requests via internal applications. Basic math skills with the ability to calculate measurements and weights. Great interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to understand and complete requests given by team members inside and outside of the department. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measurement tools. Ability and willingness to follow Health, Safety & Environment procedures accurately, reporting concerns promptly to the safety action team. Capable of embracing diversity and equity to ensure they contribute to a respectful and inclusive workplace. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement manufacturing principles is preferred. Physical Demands Standing: All tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking. Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs to 20 lbs. Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1 km). Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs to 20 lbs. Pushing: Occasional pushing of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs. Pulling: Occasional pulling of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs. Bending: Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes and shapes. Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees. Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs to 20 lbs.
