The candidate for this position will need to be based out of Ontario, Canada. A Field Service Technician 4 (FST 4) has the primary responsibility of ensuring the users of Rapiscans equipment are satisfied with its performance. This role requires enhanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, the ability to think independently with minimal instruction, and to support FST IIII in troubleshooting and recommendations to management regarding system performance, enhancements, and general health and safety. Additional reporting responsibilities include system status, uptime availability, mean time to repair, and review of logistics plans to meet contracted service level agreements. 7080% of the time will be spent providing field repair and maintenance, while 2030% will support other FSEs, work with clients and offices to enhance equipment availability, service revenues, reporting, and support sales and marketing activities. Responsibilities Maintain, repair, install, and diagnose mobile Xray units to component level at customer sites. Provide problem resolution and troubleshooting to customers. Install equipment at customer locations and perform necessary repairs. Act as liaison between customer and company, providing feedback on quality and customer satisfaction. Determine the best method to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction. Provide training to customers on proper equipment use; complete required paperwork such as service reports, radiation surveys, parts requisitions, and expense reports accurately and on time. Report quality problems or defects to manager or senior management to enable corrective action and prevent recurrence. Qualifications Associates degree or higher in electronics or a related technical field is highly desired. Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field. Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Strong customer service skills. Proficiency in both written and spoken English and French (mandatory). Knowledge of Xray imaging security systems is a plus. Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs. frequently and 50+ lbs. with assistance occasionally. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Understand and apply common sense to carry out instructions and documentation. Work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts and very low levels of radiation well below permitted exposure limits; reasonable accommodations may be provided.
