TheBroker Distribution Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth and strengthening Novas presence within the broker distribution channel. This role focuses on cultivating strong, value-driven partnerships with brokers, maximizing business opportunities, and plays a critical part in advancing Novas strategic priority by driving growth through strong broker partnerships The ideal candidate is a relationship-focused professional who combines strategic thinking with practical problem-solving, demonstrating a deep understanding of broker dynamics, mutual values, and market trends. Key Responsibilities Broker Relationship Management Build and maintain productive, collaborative relationships with existing broker partners to drive retention and growth. Identify, evaluate, and onboard new broker partners aligned with Novas target markets and business strategy. Serve as the primary liaison between brokers and internal departments, ensuring a seamless experience and responsive communication. Develop and execute a broker growth plan that supports company objectives for profitability, product diversification, and market share expansion. Analyze broker performance data to identify opportunities, improve underwriting results, and optimize portfolio mix. Collaborate with underwriting and marketing teams to design initiatives that enhance broker engagement and sales performance. Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and broker channel developments to inform strategic decisions. Provide regular feedback to leadership about emerging opportunities and potential risks within the broker network. Contribute to business planning discussions with insights grounded in field experience and broker feedback. Training & Support Partner with Marketing, and Underwriting teams to support broker education, training, and engagement programs. Promote Novas products, digital tools, and service offerings through presentations, broker meetings, and industry events. Represent Nova at regional broker meetings, industry associations, and community events to enhance our reputation as a modern mutual and preferred partner. Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring Novas mission, vision, and values are consistently reflected across all relationships and initiatives. Qualifications & Experience Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience considered. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business development, account management, or sales within the insurance broker channel. Previous Underwriting experience with a strong understanding of broker operations, market trends, and P&C insurance distribution models. Proven ability to build relationships, negotiate effectively, and achieve business growth targets. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking capabilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms. Valid drivers license and ability to travel within Ontario (approximately 25%).
