Who you are: The International Sales Team for Inbound Exchanges develops and manages B2C and B2B relationships to recruit participants for all CIEEs inbound student exchanges to the United States: summer work and travel, camp counselor, intern, trainee, and exchanges at the high school level, serving approximately 30,000 foreign students each year as the largest sponsor for U.S. Department of State BridgeUSA (J-1 Visa) programs. The Sales Manager Canada , under the leadership of the Senior Manager of CIEE Canada Direct Office will develop, formalize, and execute a Go-to-Market Strategy for CIEE in Canada to grow and develop CIEEs direct presence in the market and secure sales for different programs including Professional Exchanges (Intern and Trainee) and others. The Sales Manager will work to determine the strategic approach to the market on a product-by- product basis. The Sales Manager will act as the primary representative and liaison between CIEE and the Canadian universities promoting CIEE BridgeUSA programs that bring exchange visitors to the U.S. They will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of CIEEs Inbound Exchanges Division within the Canadian market. The Sales Manager plays a key role in identifying business opportunities and ensuring the overall success of sales and marketing initiatives and establishing standards and practices for the companys brand and growth in the marketplace. Additionally, they will be responsible for overseeing marketing campaigns, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with other departments to achieve organizational goals in Canada and drive revenue growth. What youll do: The Sales Manager will support the Senior Manager of CIEE Canada Direct Office in achieving annual program sales goals and long-term business development objectives for all Inbound Exchange programs related to the Canadian market. Specifically: Develop and execute a Go-to-Market-Strategy for CIEE in Canada to grow direct sales forInternship and Trainee Programs. Establish CIEEs direct presence in Canada and secure leads and new sales for Professional Exchanges. Recommend strategic approach to the market on a product-by-product basis. Primary representative and liaison between CIEE and the Canadian market promoting CIEE BridgeUSA programs. Create business opportunities to achieve goals and ensure the success of sales and marketing initiatives. Implement CIEE standards and practices to establish brand and position CIEE for growth in the marketplace. Help create and implement marketing campaigns, create content and analyze market trends. Provide direct customer service to students and parents during critical times in the enrollment and pre-departure process. Aggressively drive sales by engaging and supporting CIEEs presence in the region. Work with the Senior Manager to research and identify market opportunities for CIEE programs. Analyze and report on sales data to identify trends to help inform departmental and market strategies. Focus on activities to drive sales and track progress towards overall sales targets ensuring the timely completion of applications as well as marketing/business development activities. Identify areas of risk, as well as opportunity, to ensure budget targets are met or exceeded. Work closely with the CIEE Sales team as well as the product (program) owners to help define the respective product sales and marketing strategies. Liaise regularly to ensure applicants are receiving the highest level of customer service from CIEE. Be the main representative of CIEE within the Canadian market and maintain strong relationships with the American Embassy as well as Canadian Universities. Willingness to take on new projects and duties as assigned by the Senior Manager of Canada Direct Office. Core Responsibilities: Canada Office management including product sales & marketing, operations, financial responsibilities, and project development. Responsible for all lines of business especially Professional Exchanges (Intern, Trainee) Key Projects: Work closely with head offices operations and sales teams to plan 2025 BridgeUSA programs. Build and maintain strategic partnerships with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and universities to support PREX programs (prior experience collaborating with higher education institutions is strongly preferred). Work closely and regularly with the Professional Exchanges Team and International Operations Team. Monthly reports with Finance and HR; work closely during budget periods. Actively seek resources and assistance as needed. Develop relationships with universities, host companies, and associations. Skilled in analyzing market demands to recommend jobs and opportunities for Canadian applicants in the United States, ensuring alignment with industry needs and participant goals. Be the main representative of CIEE within the Canadian market and maintain strong relationships with the American Embassy. Develop and leverage external partnerships with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and universities for Intern/Trainee programs. Tools and Technologies: CIEE Beacon and other App tools. Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Official Canadian social media accounts as needed. Goals and Outcomes: Provide the best services for our participants. Achieve and exceed budget. Office development: gain market share to achieve at least 100% of FY26 targets What youll bring: The ideal candidate will possess: Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential for this position. The ideal candidate will understand the cultural exchange sector and have a passion for international education. Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Education or relevant experience in similar field. Minimum 6 years of hands-on sales , marketing and educational exchange experience within the Canadian market, program and project management, social media experience, solid higher education institutions network knowledge of the student exchange market. Proven track record of success in sales and marketing roles within the international education sector preferred. Experience managing a sales reporting environment using a CRM system and reporting. Expert at seeing sales figures, communicating them to the team, and leading the best course of action. Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing, content creation, and stakeholder engagement at both B2C and B2B levels. Strong understanding of Canadian education trends, cultural nuances, and regulatory considerations. Proven ability to collaborate with universities to design and customize programs tailored for groups and individuals. Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative sales and marketing initiatives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence at a senior level. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast pace environment. Willingness to travel as needed. Location Requirements The position is open to candidates located in Toronto, Canada.
