Registered Nurse (RN) Part-Time (Operating Room/ACC) Status: Part Time Department: Operating Room/ACC Salary: $40.24 to $57.68 (hourly) Location: Hospital Required Qualifications: Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario Minimum of two (2) years current Operating Room/Recovery Room experience or recognized Peri-operative Certificate ACLS Certification and performance competence Abilities/Skills/Knowledge: Knowledge of, and willingness to support SJGHELs Mission, Vision & Values of Compassion, Humility & Harmony, Respect, Integrity, Social Responsibility and The Sacredness of Life Ability to rotate through roles of circulating nurse, recovery room nurse, charge nurse, day surgery and participate in the regular on-call rotation Ability to endure periods of prolonged standing Ability to collaborate with the surgical team and MDRD Ability to ensure appropriate staffing compliments, as well as educating and mentoring new staff Proficiency in IV therapy Computer literacy and electronic health records documentation Assets Recognized Perioperative Certification Excellent attendance record General: Employee Assistance Program Part-Time: 14% of wage in lieu of benefits Eligible to enrol in HOOPP pension plan (% in lieu off-set to 10% if enrolled in HOOPP) Union Designation ONA Workplace Conduct St. Josephs General Hospital Elliot Lake (SJGHEL) is committed to providing a safe, healthy workplace that promotes high job satisfaction and a respectful work environment.
