Part-Time High School Math/Science Teacher/Tutor Motivated by mathematics? Sharp with science? Excited by equations in both fields? Eager to help students succeed in math and science? Our hours count! Gain valuable teaching experience at Oxford Learning Brantford North. We are currently seeking part-time teachertutors for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas. Teachertutors at Oxford Learning do not have to lessonplan before class, as all lessons are preplanned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods. Position Requirements Work during afterschool and evening hours, Monday to Thursday 3:30pm 8:00pm. Commitment until the end of the school year is preferred; continuing through the summer is even better. Reliable attendance is a must. Position is inperson; must be able to commute to this location. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory. Education Bachelors degree or similar certification in a relevant field. Fourthyear university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered. Teaching certification an asset. Good knowledge of the current Grades912 math and science curriculum, particularly senior math (Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vectors) and Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology). Experience Some experience teaching/tutoring math and science at a Grade912 (or equivalent) level. Strong English written and oral communication skills. Strong math skills and ability to guide students understanding. Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time. Responsibilities (Position Details) Teaching up to three students at a time at different levels. Teaching online and inperson. Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
