National Account Manager - Strategic Accounts (Full Time) - Any major Linde location in Canada Join Linde as a National Account Manager for Strategic Accounts. Primary Purpose The National Account Manager manages a portfolio of business worth approximately $25million and will be responsible for growing sales revenues by roughly 10% yearoveryear and profits in a specific market area or key group of customers, including national hospital contracts. Key Accountabilities Responsible for direct sales of company products, services, and systems to key customers at a corporate level, generating planned sales revenue from these major accounts Manage National Account portfolio sales to analyze and provide insight on the overall performance of the business Design and interpret key performance metrics and deliver associated insights and recommendations to grow the National accounts across Canada Develop and implement bestpractices, processes, cadence, and dashboards to keep the sales team focused on priorities while minimizing administrative overhead Responsible for negotiating and gaining National Account Agreements with legal involvement Accountable for achieving sales goals through the expansion of sales within existing customers and targeting new customer sales through corporate level contacts and field resources Responsible for financial translation and measurement of decisions, planning, and strategies; provides reporting to management Fully understand the needs of the market/industry segment and work to ensure that Linde Canada Inc. acquires a significant portion of the business growth in the segment or area Accountable for identifying, developing and implementing strategies for major accounts The single point of resolution for customers needs for the assigned market/industry segment and/or geographic area accounts Take a leadership role in lead generation and new business acquisition for the market/industry segment and/or geographic area Coach and develop sales team to fulfill the required deliverables Develop valuable relationships with key decisionmakers and influencers in the assigned market/industry segment and/or geographic area Maintain excellent knowledge of Linde Gas & Equipment Inc.s nationwide organization, supply/applications technology, and product line offerings Develop an intelligence network to become aware of warning signs within the account base, monitor competitive activity, and maintain competitive intelligence databases; take action quickly to avoid marketshare erosion Recognize account needs that should or could develop into a market offering Plan and execute sales for major specific regional/national accounts Participate in highlevel sales negotiations Work independently in a complex environment Communicate and interface well with fieldlevel internal organization Required Qualifications Education Bachelors Degree required Experience 10+ years sales experience required; experience in similar roles preferred Knowledge / skills / abilities required Defined sales process required Experience negotiating contracts required Experience in market analysis to forecast sales for specific regions Previous experience using sales databases is a plus Cylinder experience preferred Travel to customer locations required Linde has an extensive background check process which may include but is not limited to a criminal background review, drivers license and abstract review, and may also include reference checks, employment, and education verification.
