To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at: youll do: Provide strategic leadership for all petroleum operations, including Cardlock, bulk fuel, lubricants, and related services, ensuring an exceptional and consistent customer experience Oversee day-to-day operations including staffing, scheduling, inventory management, pricing, site standards, and fuel procurement, including supply strategy and technical product knowledge Lead, coach, and develop managers and operational team through performance management and development plans, and succession planning Drive divisional growth by supporting sales strategies, customer relationships, bids, tenders, and contract management Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and fuel pricing to inform operational and pricing decisions Collaborate with Wholesale Petroleum Team on programs, pricing initiatives, and margin objectives Develop and manage divisional budgets, including sales, margins, expenses, inventory turns, and shrink control Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements Oversee operational reporting and utilize CRM, BRIC, and other systems to track customer activity, sales performance, and market intelligence, ensuring inventory is aligned with customer demand and supporting business planning Represent the Petroleum Division at customer events, trade shows, and promotional activities Support and execute divisional campaigns, programs, and strategic initiatives Communicate regularly with sales, operations, and administrative teams to align inventory levels with customer demand and service expectations Perform other duties as required to support the overall success and growth of the Petroleum Division Why it matters: Our team provides a range of products and services to support our member-owners. Who you are: 10+ years of experience in petroleum operations, fuel distribution, or retail energy environments 5+ years of experience leading technical, professional, and/or management employees High School Diploma required; Business or Operations Diploma/Degree considered an asset Valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers License with regular travel between sites required; Class 3 license with air endorsement is an asset Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead simultaneous operational initiatives Strong skillset in training, coaching, and providing feedback to Managers and Team Members Demonstrated ability to implement and lead operational change across multiple sites In-depth knowledge of daily petroleum operations, including fuel storage, bulk delivery, retail station management, safety, inventory, and regulatory compliance Experience managing budgets, cost control, and operational performance metrics Strong understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in the petroleum industry Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams, suppliers, and regulators Demonstrated ability to optimize operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce shrink, and maintain quality standards Effective use of Microsoft Office and general digital proficiency Willingness to actively work in the trading area, including customer site visits and community events Able to work on a very flexible schedule with the ability to work up to 50 hours weekly and have on call availability Our Team Members receive competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits package and an employer-contributed pension plan.
