Overview Location: Winnipeg Status: Full-time, Permanent Reports to: Packaging and Sanitation Supervisor Hours: 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Position Summary: Reporting to the Packaging Supervisor, our ideal candidates is a self-starter who takes initiative, displays problem-solving and decision-making abilities, has excellent organizational skills and can maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast paced and changing work environment. Key Responsibilities Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in a full-scale production environment. Responsible for general housekeeping of packaging area: Clean equipment and maintain cleanliness in work area. Comply with all safety and health regulations. Weigh, record, and move waste product to the destruction cage in accordance with outlined SOPs. Report any issues to shift lead or supervisor. Cleaning and maintenance of processing and packaging equipment. Optimize production and packaging related SOPs. Minimize daily product waste, such as consumables, labels, pouches, gummies, etc. Utilize a proactive approach as it relates to daily operation, maintenance, adjustments, cleaning, and planning for success. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong sense of work quality and safety. Effortlessly takes direction and follows through on tasks. Capable of working both independently and on a team. Good communication skills both written and verbal. Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience in food manufacturing and/or in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment would be considered an asset. Previous packaging experience would be considered an asset.
