Young-Davidson is currently recruiting the following challenging position to join our operations team: Job Opportunity Alamos Golds Young-Davidson is a longlife underground gold mine located near Matachewan, Ontario. The recent completion of a highly automated lower mine expansion has increased production and free cash flow generation. The mine serves as Alamos foundation for growth for many years to come. Reporting Reporting to the Supervisor, Mine Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of pastefill projects within the construction department. Primary Responsibilities Scale and conduct preoperation inspections of work sites. Fill 5point cards and maintain accurate operating records, including daily work reports. Install ground support with handheld equipment when required. Assemble and install pastefill walls (blasting walls or arch walls). Install paste distribution pipe, including paste inserts. Conduct required pastefill pipe connections following paste packages. Install and maintain mine services (air, water, and pumping). Inspect work during and after completion to ensure it meets prints and standards. Maintain records of pastefill pipe networks, paste walls, and paste pours. Contribute to and establish effective workplace relationships. Provide workplace status updates to relevant people at shift end (supervisor and coworkers). Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced crew members. Support the construction supervisor with site inspections, QA/QC. Ensure the workplace is tidy and free of refuse and leftover construction material before leaving. Perform any other tasks as directed by the direct supervisor. Qualifications And Experience 35 years of underground experience. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills; ability to work independently. Computer proficiency. Experience in shaft, material handling, and primary dewatering systems. Ability to read and understand engineering prints (civil, structural, rock excavation work). High attention to detail and high standards. Postsecondary education in a miningrelated field is an asset. Good communication skills coupled with strong leadership abilities. Training as a trainer is an asset.
