A modern and stateoftheart facility An onsite cafeteria with dedicated chefs Onsite gym and basketball court Click here for a video tour of our Mississauga facility: POSITION DESCRIPTION Job Title: Analytical Scientist Department: Pharmaceutical Development Solutions (PDS) Position Reporting To: Technical Analytical Manager Position Type: Permanent, Full Time General Description Responsible for analytical method testing, development and validation with the focus on the invitro release testing (IVRT) to measure the rate of drug release from various semisolid formulations. Key Responsibilities Performs nonroutine method transfer, verification, development and validation work as required. Conducts invitro release testing using vertical diffusion cells and HPLC equipment. Authors protocols and technical reports related to IVRT method development, method validation and method transfer to support regulatory submissions. Ensures all analytical results and documentation are generated in a timely fashion and in compliance with regulatory guidelines. Conducts analytical data and reports review in a timely manner. Provides technical expertise in support of OOS/OOT deviations. Maintains extensive lateral contacts within and outside BPSI. Ensures the company safety policies are implemented and followed. Qualifications Experience and Skills 5+ years in a commercial chemistry laboratory with demonstrated understanding and application of GMP and laboratory operations. Indepth knowledge and handson experience with IVRT and HPLC analyses. Strong understanding of IVRT method development and validation principles. Attention to details, strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask. Excellent oral and written communications. Education Required Bachelor of Science Degree or an equivalent amount of experience through years of service. Preferred MSc in Chemistry or equivalent with 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Working Conditions Permanently located on site, working within the office or within the chemistry laboratories.
