AV Group NB Inc. Atholville Mill is currently recruiting for the following position: Instrumentation & Control Technician Electrical & Instrumentation Department Role Overview The successful applicant will work with our E&I team to perform tasks ranging from routine plant maintenance to implementation of improvement projects. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and process control systems used in pulp mill operations Install, calibrate, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair field instrumentation and analyzers (pressure, flow, level, temperature, consistency, pH, conductivity, etc.) Maintain and troubleshoot DCS, PLC, VFD, and associated control systems related to instrumentation and automation Perform loop checks, control loop tuning, and reliability inspections Install and terminate instrumentation wiring and tubing in accordance with drawings and specifications Read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Work with operations and maintenance personnel to support safe and reliable mill operations Complete preventive maintenance tasks, work orders as assigned Participate in startups, shutdowns, reliability initiatives, and capital projects Identify and report deficiencies in instrumentation systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards Follow all safety rules and procedures, including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and working at heights Qualifications, Skills & Abilities: Journeyperson status in Instrumentation & Controls Technician; Strong troubleshooting skills Knowledge of electrical controls, MCCs and power distribution equipment Knowledge of VFDs, PLC and DCS systems Experience in an industrial plant an asset Adequate knowledge of CMS Work order systems, Inventory system Why AV Group NB Inc.?
