Working with the SES leadership team, the ROM plans and executes strategies to drive sales, increase profitability and cultivate a positive experience for customers and team members. The ROM manages daily operations activities including planogramming, vendor management, operations budget management, and improving execution through SOPs. This role collaborates with store operator, external vendors, visual merchandising, logistics and IT departments. The ROM also manages New Store Openings and HQ Operations projects. Responsibilities include monitoring operational spends to optimize efficiencies and handling external business & operations communications related to business term negotiations, contracts, and approvals. Role and Responsibilities Detailed Operations Develop short-term and long-term strategies and plans to improve efficiencies and reduce costs Collaborate with sales, marketing, logistics, IT and store operator to support sales initiatives Manage operational budget including annual expenses forecast Support store expansion initiatives including kiosk and special projects Provide ad-hoc and regular reports to executives on key plans and results Develop and drive process improvements to streamline and optimize operations Operations Management Ensure processes and procedures are clearly defined for SES stores Work with Operation Leads in stores on daily/weekly/monthly plans to drive sales and efficiencies Perform audits and compliance reviews of Samsung operational processes and procedures through site visits Collaborate with training team to incorporate operations training for new and existing SES managers Lead internal operational projects (and activities) tracking, reporting and meetings Work with Legal to ensure contract renewals, new vendor onboarding and/or cancellations are up to date in internal systems Support SES retail in validating installation compliance for new product rollouts Liaise with OSL to rectify rollout deficiencies in a timely manner Lead and execute monthly Planogram Reviews by Store and develop Sales/Sq.Ft by store In conjunction with sales and merchandising, build and execute Monthly Planogram and VMD setup for Suwon direction, launches, seasonality and sales performance Work closely with visual merchandiser and 3rd party vendor to ensure display units are functioning in stores Lead and execute RDU setup by store planogram Audit store executions on planograms and RDU setups Build and execute Operational SOPs; upload SOPs for store execution and follow up/audit on compliance Lead weekly OSL SECA Ops meetings Manage ordering and execution of uniforms, bags, and business cards Lead project management of New Store openings and closings Manage transfer and ongoing management of OSL operational vendors through SECA vendors and RFP processes Accountable for P&L operational spend Vendor Management Manage business relationships with external partners (Operator, various service providers) Ensure store maintenance and repair activities are tracked and performed to high standards by all vendors, including follow-up site visits Ensure store accessibility meets internal and external compliance standards (alarms, doorways, elevator maintenance, bathrooms, plumbing, heating and A/C) Manage business negotiations and all contract-related matters Conduct regular business reviews with internal and external teams to identify opportunities and co-develop solutions Financial Management 20% Support SES with project proposals submissions in SAP Process invoices for SES in SAP and perform monthly reconciliations with key vendor partners Validate invoices by checking tax, vendor info, duplication, budget source, etc., and process in GFP after verification Build and maintain an invoice tracker to ensure payments are processed within 30 days Collaborate with project owners and vendors to ensure required backing documentation for invoicing is captured for SAP submissions Coordinate with marketing finance and procurement teams to navigate proposals through approvals Follow up payment issues with project owners to close open issues promptly Manage FOC submissions and audits in the SES system Monthly reconciliation of SES MDF spend Annual MDF operational build with YOY opportunities Requirements Education Annual MDF operational build with YOY opportunities Knowledge Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Exceptional organizational and planning skills with attention to detail Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of levels from executives to support staff Self-motivated with the ability to work with limited supervision Proven ability to function effectively in a team environment Ability to travel overseas, across Canada Willing to work extended hours and weekends when required Experience Minimum 7 years experience in retail operations, project management, vendor management or related Demonstrated people management skills Salary and Benefits The salary range for this role is expected to be between $85,000 to $115,000 and reflects base salary only. Actual pay will be determined based on knowledge, competencies, qualifications, and experience. The posting is for a current job vacancy.
