Impala Canada is the owner and operator of the Lac Des Iles Mine, located 90 minutes northwest of Thunder Bay, Ontario. In operation for 30 years, the LDI Mine is one of only two known oure palladium sources in North America. Palladium contributes to a cleaner global environment, with its leading use in catalytic converters that reduce harmful emissions from gas powered and hybrid vehicles. The LDI Mine features a unique, ore body and modern infrastructure, including underground and surface mining and milling operations. The LDI Mine is in Robinson-Superior Treaty territory and the land on which we operate is the traditional territory of the Anisnaabeg and Metis. Job Description: Maintaining a system, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing problems, installing and replacing components and systems. Must have a good knowledge and understanding of HVAC, gas, and oil burner systems. etc. Assemble and install refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation components such as motors, controls, gauges, valves, circulation pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators and compressors using hand power tools as required. Measure and cut piping, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment. 14x 14 rotation Qualifications: Possess Trade Certification for HVAC/Oil burner/gas (gas filler 1) ability to work on all equipment. Minimum five (5) years experience in a mining and mill environment would be an asset. A self starter who performs duties in a safe and productive manner. Verbal and written proficiency of the English language.
