Duties As a Junior Engineer with the Department of National Defence (DND) in the CF Real Property Operations Group, you will play a key role by providing project management and engineering expertise in delivering reliable and efficient infrastructure that enables the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and DND employees to execute our national defence mission. Essential qualifications Graduation with a degree from a recognised postsecondary institution in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, aeronautical engineering, geological engineering, naval architecture, or another engineering specialty relevant to the duties. Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with a specialization relevant to the position. Experience analysing issues and making recommendations related to infrastructure maintenance or construction projects. Experience interpreting construction codes, regulations, standards, or technical studies to formulate effective solutions. Experience assessing infrastructure design packages and conducting technical reviews. Willing and able to occasionally travel in Canada. Preference Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
