Brown Bear Day Care is hiring for a Nutrition Coordinator/Cook to join our strong, fun and energetic team. Individual needs to be able to work independently, manage their own time within the daily food schedule, and enjoy working around children. A vehicle (with valid drivers license) is a must as this individual is responsible for grocery shopping. Responsibilities Preparing and delivering all meals to classrooms, as per the menu (full recipes provided) Collecting and cleaning all dishes and maintaining a clean environment as per OPH guidelines Grocery lists (weekly provided but will need specifics added) and shopping at Food Basics, No Frills and/or Walmart Knowledge about anaphylaxis allergies as food cannot contain certain ingredients Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen Garbage and recycle taken out daily Candidate must be comfortable around children as there is a lunch break to cover 3 days/week for 1 hr each day. Qualifications A valid First Aid/CPR, a clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Food Handlers Course is a must as per Ministry Guidelines.
