Mechanical Construction Site Supervisor (SS1 or SS2) Hourly Rate: Site Supervisor 1 (SS1): $54.41/hour Site Supervisor 2 (SS2): $57.22/hour Performance-based bonus potential (not guaranteed) Type: Full-Time, Perm Location: Hamilton, ON Projects: Niagara Region, GTA, London & surrounding areas Schedule: Typically 7:00 AM 3:00 PM (1 hour), project-dependent Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly rate based on SS1 or SS2 level Performance-based bonus potential Company truck provided Company phone & gas card provided Benefits & RRSP/Pension plan available Excellent training and professional development opportunities Long-term growth potential within a supportive team environment About the Role We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Site Supervisor to lead and oversee mechanical field operations on construction projects. This role offers the opportunity to join a growing team delivering high-quality mechanical installations while maintaining strict safety, quality, and performance standards. The position is open to either a Site Supervisor 1 (SS1) or Site Supervisor 2 (SS2) , depending on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will provide on-site leadership, coordinate trades and subtrades, manage workflow, and ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and professionally. Key Responsibilities Site Supervision & Leadership Lead and coordinate Journeypersons, Apprentices, and Subtrades on site Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and performance support to crew members Delegate responsibilities and manage daily site activities Maintain positive working relationships with internal teams, clients, and other trades Safety & Compliance Take full responsibility for site safety and compliance with Health & Safety legislation Conduct hazard assessments, inspections, and safety meetings Ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures Proactively identify and address unsafe conditions or behaviors Project Execution & Planning Manage assigned projects with guidance (SS1) or independently (SS2) Coordinate workflows, materials, equipment, and manpower Track progress against weekly plans and budgets Forecast labor requirements and project activities Liaise with Project Managers and senior Site Supervisors as required Administration & Reporting Complete daily logs, timecards, inspections, incident reports, and site documentation Prepare material requisitions and coordinate with procurement and logistics Ensure accurate and timely completion of all project-related documentation Support audits, quality control measures, and reporting requirements Technical & Quality Oversight Oversee mechanical construction work including plumbing, pipefitting, layout, trenching, coring, and related tasks Ensure work meets building codes, industry standards, and quality expectations Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess materials Address and resolve complex site issues, escalating as needed Performance Expectations Deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget Ensure professional-quality workmanship across all site activities Communicate clearly and effectively with teams and stakeholders Continuously improve trade knowledge, technical skills, and communication abilities Actively contribute to a strong safety culture and high-performing team environment Skills & Qualifications Licensed Tradesperson with Red Seal certification (in good standing) Valid Drivers License and clean Drivers Abstract Proven ability to lead a crew of 3+ personnel Completion of required supervisory and safety training (or willingness to complete within required timelines), including: Health & Safety Supervisor Training Construction ON / Merit Ontario (2IC Training) 4S Supervisor Training Construction / Project Management Training ISO / Quality Training Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills Ability to adapt to changing project demands and locations AI-enabled tools may be used to sort applications based on job-related criteria.
