Position Assistant Professor - Business Analytics andextra Intelligence (AI) Faculty/Department: Faculty of Business and Information Technology Appointment type: Tenured and Tenure-Track, Full-time Continuing Salary range: $132,000 $147,000 (base salary) Position Overview Ontario Tech University invites applications for a tenuretrack Assistant Professor position in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence. The role is subject to budgetary approval and will start on July1,2026 (or sooner if filled). The successful candidate will work within the Faculty of Business & Information Technology in a technologyenhanced learning environment. Responsibilities Conduct active and innovative research in analytics and AI within supply of business and the wider economy. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including but not limited to Business Applications of AI, Fundamentals of AI for Business, Intro and Advanced Business Analytics, Data Visualization, DataDriven DecisionMaking, Designing AI Systems, and AI in Business and Society. Integrate new technologies and AI into pedagogy and curriculum design. Maintain a retaining 40% research, 40% teaching and 20% service workload each year. Attract tricouncil funding and engage in leadingedge research with colleagues and students. Qualifications PhD (or near completion) in Business/Management, Business Analytics, AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline with a specialization in Business Analytics and/or AI. Proven research track record or demonstrable research potential in topics that examine the role of analytics/AI in strategic, human, or operational aspects of businesses and organizations. Strong academic background and peerreviewed publications. Excellent teaching potential, with the capacity to develop innovative courses and evidence of highquality teaching. Strong English language skills and the ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and the community.
