The Field Service Representative (FSR) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to clients while installing and maintaining diagnostic instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments. This position is part of the Field Service Organization located in Southwestern Ontario and will support a territory around that region including northern Ontario. You will be part of the Field Service Representative team and report to the Canada Central District manager, providing frontline support by resolving customer problems and issues through technical expertise and troubleshooting. The FSR uses critical thinking to resolve issues within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action to rapidly repair instrumentation. FSRs also provide training to our customers, verify the operational performance of the instrumentation, and ensure data quality of systems to provide accurate results in the marketplace. Responsibilities Independently serve customers by performing troubleshooting, repair, installation, validation, and preventive maintenance on designated instrumentation. Complete timely and accurate preventive maintenance, field modifications, instrument repairs, and service documentation. Deliver exceptional customer service to Beckman Coulter clients, including technical training on diagnostic products and systems. Focus on customer needs and satisfaction, while building and enhancing the relationship with the customer to become a partner in their business. Travel throughout the districts territory, and/or Canada, to various sites where our instrumentation is utilized. Essential Requirements Technical diploma or higher in Biomedical Engineering Technology or Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relatable experience (field service experience preferred). Ability to travel to and from the United States, hold a valid drivers license, and meet Beckman Coulters safe driver criteria in compliance with the Danaher Company Vehicle Policy and vendor credentialing requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, annual background checks, immunizations, and required training. Hold a valid drivers license with a clean driving record over the past three years. Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time, including overnight travel within the assigned service district and occasionally to other service districts in Canada. Candidates must be able to lift, lower, and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Physical requirements include frequent bending, stooping, twisting, turning, crouching/crawling, pushing/pulling, and prolonged sitting or standing. Must also be able to reach at, above, and below shoulder level, flex/extend the neck, and demonstrate good hand and finger dexterity. Preferred Qualifications Servicing any of the following instrumentations: hematology, chemistry, immunochemistry. Experience servicing any of the following IVD instrumentation: chemistry, immunochemistry, hematology, urinalysis, lab automation.
