Were looking for a fulltime Guideway Technician @ Ottawa operations site, could it be you? Your future role As a Guideway Technician, you are responsible for maintaining the assets on the guideway of the line (fences, track, green management, drainage control of the platform and tunnel, overhead catenary system, access control, etc.) in line with specified Quality procedures. As this is an industrial/field work environment, physical demands are in consequence (work outside in all weather conditions, work at heights, etc.). Flexibility to work on different shifts will be needed to meet operational requirements. While interacting daily with coworkers, external suppliers/contractors and management, all activities will be performed in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as prescribed by legislation and the ALSTOM Health & Safety policies. The starting rate is $32.46/h. Youll specifically take care of Complying with and enforcing EHSS policies and rules Carrying out all levels of examination and work arising on the line guideway Monitoring of incoming work orders Maintenance of some other assets (tunnel ventilation, security system, pumps, etc.) Reporting activities (work orders/inspections) through a Computerized Maintenance Management system Well look to you for Ontime resolution for incidents Closure of all Work Orders with accurate information and on time To work with the Rail System Team in case of emergency or extreme weather to maintain line operation Support and supervision of external supplier representatives All About You We value passion and attitude as much as experience.
